Who are you?
Hello! My name is Inara. I'm an Australian living in America, an IVF mum of three girls, an avid tea drinker, and I'm the one behind this business! You can find me behind the sewing machine with a baby on my hip and another at my feet. Learn more about my journey to this business here.
Where are you located?
We make everything by hand in our little studio in North Carolina, USA! All orders ship from here.
Is your fabric safe for my baby?
All our fabrics are organic, ethically and sustainably sourced and produced, and safe for even the smallest baby. All our items meet and exceed CPSC safety and compliance standards.
What does the name Astrid & Friends mean?
Astrid is my eldest daughter, who was born after several losses and a long infertility journey. Between her and her sister Marigold, we unfortunately had several more miscarriages.
When we brought home baby Marigold, Astrid was in the habit of calling everyone and everything "friend" - from her blanket, to a fork, to a tree, to - you guessed it - her baby sister! So, when naming the business, the name Astrid & Friends seemed only right, as it encompassed not only our babies here on earth, but the 'friends' watching over us from above.
How do I care for my item?
Wash in cool water, and tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
Our clothes are made of organic, sustainable cottons. Our high quality materials can handle whatever kids throw at them!
If your item has a stain, treat as you usually would and wash. Our clothes are meant to hold up to dirt and playtime - no worries!

Shipping
Where do you ship to?
Worldwide shipping is available. If your country is not listed, please reach out for a custom quote.
How long does shipping take?
Typically 2 -7 days US domestic, and up to 30 days for international.
How do I track my order?
You should receive an email with tracking information! Please reach out if you cannot find it.
Where's my order?
Most orders ship within 3-5 business days, and sometimes even sooner! After processing, the shipping carrier is responsible for shipping speeds. Domestic shipping usually takes 3-5 business days.
If you're concerned your item hasn't arrived or shipped and it's been more than a week since you received an update, please reach out so we can assist you.
Can you rush a shipment?
Maybe! Shoot us an email and we'll see what we can do.
Returns
How do I return an item?
Returns are available for any item that does not meet our high quality control standards - eg. tears, errors, loose seams, etc.
Due to the unique and handmade nature of each items, returns are not currently available for items due to change of mind or items not fitting. Please review sizing carefully and size up when in doubt.

Can I exchange for a different item?
In some cases, when an alternate size is available! You will need to pay for return shipping in these cases. Please reach out to further discuss.
